From Pattern Notes:

When one of my closest friends announced she was pregnant I knew I had to make her a blanket. It needed to be more interesting than just a plain old rectangle, as the mom-to-be is a very talented knitter herself. So the Bliss Blanket, named after its recipient, was born.

The blanket is done in entrelac with a twist; rather than plain stockinette the rectangles are done in a mistake rib. The superwash wool is perfect for a new mom; just throw it in the washing machine, no muss, no fuss.

Difficulty Level: Intermediate

This pattern was originally published in MagKnits, January 2008. As MagKnits no longer exists this has been republished in Knotions Magazine. The pattern is also available as a Ravelry download. Note the Ravelry download was updated 4/21/08 to match the version on Knotions; this includes more photos, improved editing and instructions on the multi colored version.

There is now a version in German; this was kindly translated by JulesG. Please download the Bliss_Blanket_GER.pdf for the German translation. Note this version is based on the original MagKnits release of this pattern and does not include the instructions on the multi colored version.
