1/6/12 - The original version of this pattern posted in January 2010 was written for “one size fits most.” In response to many requests, the pattern has been updated to include four different sizes. (The original one size version corresponds to the size L in the updated version.) Both versions are available as free downloads.

Any worsted weight yarn may be used for this pattern. I used Paton’s Classic Wool (223 yards/100 gram ball) in the pair shown in the photograph.

I designed this pattern for a beginning knitting class. Most members of the class weren’t yet ready to try double-pointed needles, but had great success with two needles.

1 ball of solid and 1 ball of variegated is enough to make at least two pair of gloves. Try switching the main and contrasting colors for a slightly different look!
