You can work them with full fingers or half fingers, as you like, or even with slits in the fingers so you can poke your fingers through to fasten zippers, pull on mittens for kids, dig for change or find your door key. TIP - read the whole pattern through first to make sure you know when to stop or work slits.

This crochet gloves pattern is worked in finer yarns so they won't be too thick and bulky between your fingers. They are all worked to the same stitch numbers, just different size hooks & thicknesses of yarn used.

I worked the light ones to the bottom right in Red Heart Soft Baby with a 4mm, G-6 hook. This size - ladies small/medium.
Gauge - over single crochet
18sts X 22 rows = 4 inches

Bottom left - with finger slits - worked in fine Double Knitwith a size 4.25mm hook - size - ladies medium/large, men small/medium.
Gauge - 17sts X 20 rows = 4 inches

Top left crochet gloves pattern - red full fingers - worked in light worsted weight with a 4.5mm hook - size - mens large.
Gauge - 15sts X 18rows = 4 inches

Top right - navy half fingers - worked in Red Heart Soft Worstedwith a 4.25mm hook - size - ladies medium/large, men small/medium.
Gauge - 17sts X 20 rows = 4 inches

If you prefer a tighter cuff, use a hook one size smaller for thecuff only.

Instructions for finger slits for this crochet gloves pattern...

  • For the left hand...when you've worked instructions to [ ], for each finger (except little finger), next rnd - ch5, sk4, sc in next st and ea st to end, join with sl st, turn.
  • Next rnd - ch1, sc in ea st (including chs), join with sl st, turn and continue rnds to final rnd numbers.
  • For the right hand...when you've worked instructions to [ ], for each finger (except little finger),next rnd - ch1, sc6, ch4, sk4, sc2, join with sl st, turn.
  • Next rnd - Ch1, sc in ea ch and ea st to end, join with sl st, turn and continue rnds to final rnd numbers.

  • Little Finger - Join in yarn to ch2 between ring and little fingers, sc in these 2 chs, sc in last st of prev finger on hand section, sc6, sc in last st of prev finger on hand section, join with sl st (10sts).
  • Ch1, work [4] 10 more rnds on these 10sts. Ch1, sc2tog 5 times, break yarn, finish off, weave in end.
  • Thumb - Join in yarn to top of thumb hole, ch1, sc10 down side of thumb hole, 1sc in end of slit, 10sc up other side of hole, sc1 at top of slit, join with sl st, turn after each rnd(22sts).
  • Ch1, sc9, sc2tog twice, sc9, join with sl st (20sts).
