From the book: This is a basic stockinette stitch sweater with rib trim. It is intended to be close-fitting, with only a small amount of ease.

The pattern specifies:

Size: S (M, L, XL) to fit chest 14 (18, 22, 26)“ / 35.5 (46, 56, 66) cm

Finished size: 14.5 (19, 24.5, 28): / 37 (48.5, 62, 71) cm chest circumference; 12 (16, 21, 23)“ / 30.5 (40.5, 53.5, 58.5) cm length. The sweater is shown in all sizes (including one photographed on a cat!), and the sample sweaters were worked in Cascade Yarns Cascade 220 worsted weight yarn. The pattern information begins on page 16.

Yarn: Worsted weight yarn, approximately 200 (440, 440, 660) yards / 201 (402, 402, 604) meters.

Needles:

  • Size 7 / 4.5 mm: set of 5 double-pointed needles and 24” / 61 cm circular needle;
  • Size 5 / 3.75 mm: set of 5 double-pointed needles and 24” / 61 cm circular needle.
  • Optional Size 5 / 3.75 mm: 16” / 40.5 cm) circular needle.

Adjust needle sizes if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
