These wonderfully-abrasive scrubbers are crocheted using strips of nylon netting (the type used for crinolines under skirts). They are great for scrubbing pots and pans or for cleaning up around your house (great for hard water or soap scum buildup in sinks and bathtubs!) My Grandma Rita has been crocheting these for as long as I can remember, so they’re named for her!

Update 12/11/2014:

I just wanted you all to know how happy it makes me when I see you all crocheting and enjoying this pattern!

My Grandma Rita passed away last year (Sept. 2013) after a long battle with COPD/emphysema. Seeing all your project photos, comments, and forum posts connected to this pattern and her name helps keep her memory alive, and I really can’t express how much that means to me.

So just… thank you all.
